1. About Us
Deb's Cars Andover is a licensed private hire vehicle operator operating in Andover, Hampshire, UK, licensed by Test Valley Borough Council in accordance with the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.
2. Bookings
- All bookings must be made in advance. We are a pre-booked private hire service and cannot accept street hail or rank work.
- A booking is confirmed only when you receive confirmation from us via phone, text or WhatsApp.
- We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
3. Pricing & Payment
- All quoted prices are fixed and inclusive of fuel and driver time unless otherwise stated.
- Waiting time beyond 15 minutes (where not pre-agreed) may be charged additionally.
- Payment is accepted via cash or bank transfer.
- Prices may vary for journeys outside the quoted route.
4. Cancellations
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the journey: no charge.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of the journey: up to 50% of the agreed fare may be charged.
- No-shows: the full fare may be charged.
5. Passenger Conduct
- All passengers must wear seatbelts at all times.
- Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is strictly prohibited in our vehicles.
- Passengers who soil or damage the vehicle will be charged a cleaning or repair fee.
- The driver reserves the right to refuse or terminate any journey where a passenger's conduct is deemed unsafe or inappropriate.
6. Child Seats
Under UK law, children must use an appropriate child car seat. Customers wishing to travel with children are welcome to bring their own seat which we will store safely on return journeys. It is the responsibility of the customer to fit the seat correctly.
7. Delays & Circumstances Beyond Our Control
We will make every effort to ensure punctuality. However, we accept no liability for delays caused by traffic, road closures, adverse weather, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
8. Liability
Our liability is limited to the cost of the booked journey. We are not liable for any consequential loss including missed flights, trains or other connections, except where caused by our negligence.
9. Complaints
Any complaints should be directed to us in the first instance at debbie.russell@me.com. If unresolved, complaints may be referred to Test Valley Borough Council's licensing authority.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
